HURRICANE RELIEF

TO:            Members of the C.M.E. Church

FROM:      The Emergency Relief Committee

We wanted to remind you about the opportunity to serve as a blessing in someone else’s life, by participating in Giving Tuesday on December 3, 2019 and for the next two weeks by making a donation to the Hurricane Relief Fund. Online giving is available HERE!

The impact of Hurricane Dorian and Hurricane Maria in the Bahamas and Puerto Rico was devastating in terms of property loss, lives lost, etc., and left many of the people grieved and in great need. Although it will take some time for them to repair structural damages and to return to a sense of normalcy, the need now seems to be supplies, health care and everyday maintenance.

With this in mind, the Emergency Relief Committee is requesting members of the C.M.E. Church to give a generous offering to help those in need. You may give online here or follow the usual process of forwarding your checks (payable to the Department of Finance) to your Episcopal Leader who will record the offering and forward it to the Department of Finance. It is through your generous gifts that we, the C.M.E. Church, continue to assist those in need. As always, your promptness and generosity are appreciated.

In His Service,

Bishop Sylvester Williams, Sr.

Chairman, Committee on Emergency Relief
