Dear CME Family,

I am pleased to announced that the Department of Communication and Information Technology (CIT) is now offering premium template-based Websites and digital services (Web design & hosting services) to all CME churches!

CIT now has support services available to help our local churches have an Internet presence and digitally transform ministries within the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church! An Internet presence has become increasingly important for churches to provide spaces for members and the community to connect, share ideas, and grow online ministries.

The new Web design services align with CIT's Digital Transformation and Equity Initiative's key goals to provide an opportunity to improve upon our business processes and members experiences to meet the changing demands of our church; encourage our CME members globally (throughout the United States and abroad) to be digital citizens; and provide access to digital resources to meet the needs of our membership.

Web Design Services

Our CME churches are now able to purchase a Single (Landing) Page Website for $50, or a full 5-Page Website or Website rebuild for $200, in addition to other digital services managed by the CIT Team.

  • The Web Design services will include the design and layout of the Website using premium templates, and require churches to provide specific information for their Website content.
  • The services offered will also include training on the WordPress CMS Platform for churches that may have members designated to keep the Web page updated.
  • The CIT team will be able to maintain a church's Web page at an additional fee.
  • Web pages for CME churches will be hosted on a new domain -
  • Please note that the official CME Web site remains the same at

Additional information about our Web design services is available at Local churches may submit an interest form at the link to begin the process to collaborate with the CIT Team on Web design services.

The Web Design Services / CIT Leadership Teams

I am extremely grateful to Mr. Aaron Price for serving as the Web Developer Coordinator to oversee the ongoing development of Web design support services, and Mrs. Sharon Doss for serving as the Business Services Manager overseeing business processes and support services for the Department and Web Design Services. Both Aaron and Sharon have spent countless hours collaborating with me to ensure a successful launch of the new services.

The CIT General Department is proud to have a team of CME members including youth and youth adults serve as Web developers, and be part of this ground-breaking initiative and dream come true to offer Web design services to our local CME churches! Special thanks to our Web developers - Rev. Andrew Archer, Rev. Dion Broughton, and Rev. Cameron Kuykindall - for collaborating with me, Aaron and Sharon to provide these new services.

Let me take this opportunity to thank the stellar leadership, wise counsel and support provided by the Chair and Vice Chair of the CIT General Department, Bishop James B. Walker and Bishop Thomas L. Brown, Sr., respectively. I am grateful for their support of the overall CIT programmatic responsibilities, goals, and initiatives.

CIT...Looking Ahead

The CIT General Department is planning to offer more support services including technology training in the months ahead. CIT is re-imagining its communication and information technology service and support delivery for the CME Church using the goals of the Digital Transformation and Equity Initiative to serve the present age, and to ensure that the CME Church can BE BOLD, FACE NOW, EMBRACE NEXT, AND SEE NEW using technology!

In the Service of the Lord,

Dr. Theresa Duhart, General Secretary/CIO |
