The Christian Methodist Episcopal Church Election Portal to Online Applications for Candidates for Connectional Offices

The Candidates Portal was designed for persons who seek to be voted upon by the General Conference to elected office in the CME Church. This portal ensures that the denomination is presented with candidates who meet the criteria set forth in the Discipline of the CME Church. The legislation supporting the Candidate for Connectional Office Portal is found in ¶1500.11 (d) and states the Committee on Elections “(1) Receives applications of all persons who seek to be voted upon for General Conference elected office.”

Below you will find links to the following applications: Bishop, General Officer and Judicial Council. Further, candidates for the Office of Bishop, the General secretary of the Department of Personnel Services and the General Secretary of the Department of Finance and Investments, also known as the CFO of the CME Church are required to submit to Credit Report and Background Checks.
