
From his Michigan roots in Highland Park and formative years at Fews Memorial C.M.E Church, Leon C. Moore Jr. has cultivated a life dedicated to faith and service. His acceptance of the call to ministry in Texas led him to Benson Chapel CME in Fort Worth, setting the stage for a distinguished career. ‘
Currently, Dr. Moore holds the significant roles of General Secretary of Evangelism and Missions for The Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and Pastor of Anderson Chapel CME in Holly Springs, MS. His leadership has impacted numerous congregations throughout Texas, Georgia, and Mississippi and he has served with distinction as a Presiding Elder in the Abilene, Wichita Falls, Amarillo DFWNW TX, and Elberton Gainesville District GA North.
Further demonstrating his commitment to community well-being, Dr. Moore has served as a chaplain at major medical centers and as an adjunct professor at Ohio Christian University. His influence extends to the governance of several esteemed institutions, including Phillips School of Theology and Breeding Montgomery Bile College.
Academically accomplished, Dr. Moore holds degrees from Texas College, Tyndale College Community Confidence Center, Phillips School of Theology, and United Theological Seminary.
His vision for empowering vulnerable populations is realized through New Life Faith Ministries, the non-profit he founded. Leon is a devoted husband to Tiffany and a proud father and grandfather.
