(July 16th, 2025) Presiding Bishop K. Lawson Adjei of the 11th Episcopal District assisted the leadership of Bethel CME Church, Accra, Ghana to present a fridge and a plasma TV to the Christian Methodist Senior High School for use at the teachers staff common room. The items were purchased through an offering raised at the local church under the leadership of Rev. Mrs. Mercy Adjei who is the Pastor in charge and Rev. Elvis Oduro Abankwa, assistant Pastor in charge of the church. Present at the ceremony were, Mrs. Mavis Adusei, Mrs. Mary Togah and Pastor Christian Yeboah. The items were received on behalf of the school by the Assistant heads for academic and administration. The day was also set aside as the handing over ceremony of the outgoing student prefects to newly elected prefects. Bishop Adjei performed the induction ceremony. This role reminded Bishop Adjei of what he did for 33 years before becoming a Bishop. Thanks to Bethel CME Church for this gesture, which goes a long way to enhance the relationship between the School and the CME Church. Photos and captions provided by Bishop Adjei.

Greetings, Brothers, and Sisters in Christ,
Some 10 million rural African Americans lack broadband internet, primarily in the South. They cannot use such essential services as online doctor visits, church services, school assignments, family connections, and voter registration. Thankfully, the Federal Communications Commission launched the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), providing nearly 18 million low-income households nationwide with resources to pay for necessary broadband service. The ACP offers eligible families a $30 monthly discount on high-speed internet services, making access free for many participants.
Here's what you can do:
1 - Forward to pastors in your network serving rural communities the "Get Connect" Information card below with a contact number and website for guidance through signing up for the ACP program.
To Apply Call 1 (877) 384-2575 or Visit www.GetInternet.gov/apply.
2. Encourage them to visit - https://www.skinnerleaders.org/getconnected to download the "Get Connected Toolkit."
