(November 15th, 2024, Goma, DR Congo) Senior Bishop Lawrence Reddick, First Lady Wynde Jones Reddick, General Officers Rev. Dr. Leon Moore and Rev. Dr. Ore Spragin landed for the first time in Goma, DR Congo as special guests to the DR Congo Regional Annual Conferences of the CME Church. They were welcomed at the airport by Presiding Prelate of the 11th Episcopal District Bishop Adjei and First Lady Lady Rev. Mercy Adjei together with Mission Supervisor Dr. Mugongo, Lay Council President Honorable Philemon, and some members and Pastors of the Church. They were given protocol formalities through the immigration. A contingent of boys and girls scout of the Church mounted a guard of honor for Senior Bishop Reddick together with the brass band at the airport. Bishop Adjei stated that it was such a good feeling to see our sisters and brothers of the church showing such great hospitality to their guests. Some local radio and TV stations were at the airport to also capture the arrival of Bishop Adjei, First Lady Rev. Marcy Adjei and all guests. Bishop Adjei thanked his guests for coming to the Motherland. To God alone be the glory! Photos and caption courtesy of Bishop Adjei.

Greetings, Brothers, and Sisters in Christ,
Some 10 million rural African Americans lack broadband internet, primarily in the South. They cannot use such essential services as online doctor visits, church services, school assignments, family connections, and voter registration. Thankfully, the Federal Communications Commission launched the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), providing nearly 18 million low-income households nationwide with resources to pay for necessary broadband service. The ACP offers eligible families a $30 monthly discount on high-speed internet services, making access free for many participants.
Here's what you can do:
1 - Forward to pastors in your network serving rural communities the "Get Connect" Information card below with a contact number and website for guidance through signing up for the ACP program.
To Apply Call 1 (877) 384-2575 or Visit www.GetInternet.gov/apply.
2. Encourage them to visit - https://www.skinnerleaders.org/getconnected to download the "Get Connected Toolkit."
