We are thrilled to announce that the application process for Reimagining Children’s Ministry (RCM) Cohort 2 will open on October 1st! RCM Cohort 1, comprised of 14 local churches, has been successfully engaging with and providing valuable feedback on the Prayer and Worship materials currently being developed for the CME Church. These resources focus on two key areas: (1) integrating children into congregational worship and (2) nurturing the spiritual discipline of prayer.
The Reimagining Children’s Ministry project is designed to develop resources that more intentionally connect children with worship and offer professional development opportunities for pastors, children’s ministry leaders, and volunteers. In creating these materials, we are thoughtfully incorporating the arts, accommodating children with mild exceptionalities, and ensuring they relate to the everyday lives of children.
Local churches interested in joining this impactful initiative are invited to apply for Cohort 2. The application window is open from October 1st to October 15th.
If your church applied in 2024 and was not selected, we encourage you to apply again for 2025.

Greetings, Brothers, and Sisters in Christ,
Some 10 million rural African Americans lack broadband internet, primarily in the South. They cannot use such essential services as online doctor visits, church services, school assignments, family connections, and voter registration. Thankfully, the Federal Communications Commission launched the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), providing nearly 18 million low-income households nationwide with resources to pay for necessary broadband service. The ACP offers eligible families a $30 monthly discount on high-speed internet services, making access free for many participants.
Here's what you can do:
1 - Forward to pastors in your network serving rural communities the "Get Connect" Information card below with a contact number and website for guidance through signing up for the ACP program.
To Apply Call 1 (877) 384-2575 or Visit www.GetInternet.gov/apply.
2. Encourage them to visit - https://www.skinnerleaders.org/getconnected to download the "Get Connected Toolkit."
