The 2026 Christian Educators Retreat will convene on Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Whispering Woods Hotel and Convention Center in Olive Branch, MS.
Our theme for this year is, Renew, Rekindle, Reconnect, calls us to return to the source of our strength and purpose. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us: “But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
As Christian educators, we give, we teach, we lead, and we pour into others. Yet in doing so, our own vessels can run low. This retreat is a sacred pause — a time to renew our strength, to rekindle the flame of passion for ministry, and to reconnect with God and one another in fellowship and purpose.
We are not here simply to rest; we are here to be restored. We are not gathering just for sessions; we are gathering for transformation. In this space, we allow the Spirit of God to breathe new life into us, that we may return to our churches, our classrooms, and our communities with fresh energy, deeper wisdom, and renewed joy.
This retreat also gives us the gift of celebrating the remarkable legacy of Dr. Carmichael D. Crutchfield, who has modeled what it means to teach with conviction, to lead with vision, and to serve with faithfulness. As we honor his ministry, we also commit ourselves to carrying the torch forward with courage and creativity.
Together, let us renew our strength, rekindle our passion, and reconnect with the One who has called and equipped us for this holy work.

NEXT LEVEL CONFERENCE 2026
Leverage the BAG™: Believe. Act. Grow.
This is not another conference.
It’s a call to alignment.
In a season cluttered with noise, Next Level Conference 2026 sharpens the signal. We gather leaders, visionaries, pastors, entrepreneurs, and change-agents who are ready to leverage what God has already placed in their hands.
The BAG™ is not baggage—it’s blessing.
It is the sacred responsibility of faith, discipline, and growth.
____
BELIEVE
Believe beyond your résumé.
Believe when metrics are thin and critics are loud.
Believe like your ancestors—who trusted God without guarantees, but with grit.
Faith is not passive. Faith is positioning.
“Now faith is the substance…” — substance means weight. Believe carries weight.
____
ACT
Belief without action is spiritual procrastination.
At Next Level, we move from inspiration to execution—strategy, structure, and accountability.
No fluff. No fog. Just disciplined movement.
Faith that never sweats is suspect.
____
GROW
Growth is not accidental—it’s intentional, measurable, and often uncomfortable.
We will challenge habits, expand capacity, and sharpen leadership muscles for the long haul.
Because plateaued leaders create stalled movements.
____
Why Next Level 2026 Matters
• Faith-forward leadership with real-world strategy
• African American wisdom rooted in legacy and innovation
• Conversations that stretch theology, leadership, and influence
• Tools you can use Monday—not just quotes you like on Sunday
Believe boldly.
Act decisively.
Grow relentlessly.
Pack light—but bring the BAG™.
The future is waiting on leaders who know how to leverage it.
Standing In Grace,
Bishop Charley Hames, Jr.
Presiding Prelate

Greetings ITC Family,
History is calling, and the future is here!
We are thrilled to announce a defining moment in the life of the Interdenominational Theological Center. Today, we unveil a new identity that honors every step of our journey while looking boldly toward what lies ahead.
On March 3rd at 11:00 AM at Zion Hill Baptist Church, we invite you to return to the place where leadership is forged and justice is pursued. We are gathering for the formal Investiture of our new President, Dr. Herman Mason, under a theme that speaks to the very soul of our institution:
Our Legacy, His Vision: Homecoming
|
This is more than a ceremony; it is a renewal. It is a moment to celebrate the foundations laid by those before us and to ignite the vision God has given Dr. Mason for the road ahead.
Why your presence matters:

Witness History: Be there for the official swearing-in of our new leader.
-
Experience the Brand: Be the first to experience our new identity in action.
-
Reconnect: Join fellow alumni and friends for a true Homecoming experience that will leave you inspired and empowered.

Greetings, Brothers, and Sisters in Christ,
Some 10 million rural African Americans lack broadband internet, primarily in the South. They cannot use such essential services as online doctor visits, church services, school assignments, family connections, and voter registration. Thankfully, the Federal Communications Commission launched the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), providing nearly 18 million low-income households nationwide with resources to pay for necessary broadband service. The ACP offers eligible families a $30 monthly discount on high-speed internet services, making access free for many participants.
Here's what you can do:
1 - Forward to pastors in your network serving rural communities the "Get Connect" Information card below with a contact number and website for guidance through signing up for the ACP program.
To Apply Call 1 (877) 384-2575 or Visit www.GetInternet.gov/apply.
2. Encourage them to visit - https://www.skinnerleaders.org/getconnected to download the "Get Connected Toolkit."
