Presiding Bishop K. Lawson Adjei of the 11th Episcopal District convened the Zimbabwe Region Annual Conference of the 11th Episcopal District which concluded on March 12, 2026, in Harare after two days of meetings and fellowship. The conference officially opened on March 11 with a Communion Service.
The preacher for the opening service was Pastor Henry Zumba of International Apostolic Mission CME Church. In his message, he urged delegates to prepare themselves spiritually before partaking in the Lord’s Supper, emphasizing that the Communion table is sacred and should be approached with reverence.
Delegates from across the country gathered in Harare to attend the conference. On the second day, several reports were presented, including a report from the Missions Supervisor, Rev. Dr. Ezekiel Zifungo, along with reports from other conference officers.
During the proceedings, disciplinary questions were asked as part of the examination of candidates for ordination. At the ordination service, five candidates were ordained to the Orders of Elder, while thirteen were ordained to the Orders of Deacon.
The Bishop delivered the sermon during the ordination service based on the theme, “The Year of Fulfillment.” In his message, he encouraged the ordinands and candidates to trust that God will always fulfill the promises He has spoken concerning their lives and ministries.
Following the report presented by the Missionary President, Nyasha Zifungo, the Bishop made another cash donation to the Women’s Missionary Council in support of the Women’s Empowerment Programme.
The conference also supported the construction of House of Faith CME Church. Financial assistance was provided for the purchase of roofing sheets to help complete the church building.
In addition, the Bishop supported pastors with stipends to assist them as they returned to their respective stations to continue serving the Lord.
One of the significant highlights of the conference was the remarkable growth of the Zimbabwe Region. What began with only five churches has now expanded to forty-five churches.
To God be the glory

Greetings, Brothers, and Sisters in Christ,
Some 10 million rural African Americans lack broadband internet, primarily in the South. They cannot use such essential services as online doctor visits, church services, school assignments, family connections, and voter registration. Thankfully, the Federal Communications Commission launched the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), providing nearly 18 million low-income households nationwide with resources to pay for necessary broadband service. The ACP offers eligible families a $30 monthly discount on high-speed internet services, making access free for many participants.
Here's what you can do:
1 - Forward to pastors in your network serving rural communities the "Get Connect" Information card below with a contact number and website for guidance through signing up for the ACP program.
To Apply Call 1 (877) 384-2575 or Visit www.GetInternet.gov/apply.
2. Encourage them to visit - https://www.skinnerleaders.org/getconnected to download the "Get Connected Toolkit."
