(December 18th, 2025) Presiding Bishop K. Lawson Adjei of the 11th Episcopal District attended the Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols under the auspices of the Speaker of Parliament of the Republic of Ghana at the forecourt of Parliament House. Parliament and members of Parliament, Eminent Clergy, Revered Traditional Rulers & other well meaningful Ghanaians. It was indeed honorable to see how the birth of Christ was being lifted high by these three arms of government.

The Head of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra Archbishop John Kwofie and the Chairman of the Christian Council of Ghana Rt. Rev. Dr. Lt. Col. Bliss Agbeko (Rtd.) respectively said the prayers for the nation and the three arms of government.

Congratulations to Bishop Teresa E. Snorton, our Ecumenical Bishop and Development Officer, on the release of her new book Roots of Resilience: Black History Through the Eyes of Faith.

Roots of Resilience: Black History Through the Eyes of Faith

$19.99

Ships January 6, 2026

Roots of Resilience: Black History Through the Eyes of Faith is a transformative guide designed to empower churches and communities to teach Black History with confidence and conviction. At a time when public education faces challenges in preserving these vital narratives, this resource places the stories of Black Americans within the context of faith, resilience, and justice.

Grounded in biblical principles, Roots of Resilience connects historical struggles and triumphs to the ongoing call for equity and love in action. Readers, congregations, and small groups alike will discover how understanding the past can illuminate the path toward a better future.

With recent increases in immigration enforcement activities, many in our communities are feeling heightened fear and uncertainty. As people of faith, we are called to respond with compassion, courage, and care.

Our Congregational Immigration Response Toolkit offers practical, ready-to-use resources to help your congregation show up for immigrant neighbors. Inside, you’ll find:

  • Talking points for faith leaders
  • Worship and liturgical materials
  • Scripture references rooted in justice and welcome
  • Concrete steps your community can take right now

This toolkit is designed to support you in worship, study, advocacy, and community action—anytime, and especially now.

GET CONNECTED CAMPAIGN

Greetings, Brothers, and Sisters in Christ,

Some 10 million rural African Americans lack broadband internet, primarily in the South. They cannot use such essential services as online doctor visits, church services, school assignments, family connections, and voter registration. Thankfully, the Federal Communications Commission launched the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), providing nearly 18 million low-income households nationwide with resources to pay for necessary broadband service. The ACP offers eligible families a $30 monthly discount on high-speed internet services, making access free for many participants.

Here's what you can do:

1 - Forward to pastors in your network serving rural communities the "Get Connect" Information card below with a contact number and website for guidance through signing up for the ACP program.

To Apply Call 1 (877) 384-2575 or Visit www.GetInternet.gov/apply.

2. Encourage them to visit - https://www.skinnerleaders.org/getconnected to download the "Get Connected Toolkit."
